Delara is one of the most unique Persian dining experiences in Vancouver. It's not your typical "kebab and rice" Iranian restaurant, it's Persian food with a creative, modern twist, and you can tell there's a lot of thought behind every dish. It's also recommended by the MICHELIN Guide, which honestly makes total sense once you try it. I've been here twice. The first time was during lunch with a friend, and to be honest, we didn't love the lunch menu, it just wasn't what we were expecting and didn't feel as exciting. But the second time I went back for dinner (for my cousin's birthday), and it was a completely different experience. The dinner menu is on another level, and the vibe at night feels much more special. The atmosphere is warm and stylish, the service is professional without being "too much," and the food feels elevated while still keeping the soul of Iranian cuisine. Everything tastes fresh, balanced, and full of flavor. It's the kind of place where you actually want to take your time and enjoy the whole evening. If you want Persian food but you're also into fine dining style, this is a must-try in Vancouver. Just a tip: I'd personally recommend coming for dinner, because that's where Delara really shines.
This place was truly fantastic! Came here Sunday morning for brunch & was NOT disappointed. My partner ordered the iced coffee & grilled chicken sandwich which were their specials for today, and I got the Braised Beef Gheymeh. The iced coffee had nice warm spices like cinnamon & cardamom I think, which added a nice flavour! The chicken sandwich was quite good as well! Nice flavour & it had a nice lightness to it. My Gheymeh was definitely my favourite. The beef was beautifully tender, the flavours were very balanced, and the yogurt was fresh. They drizzled a house made herb oil on top, which added was quite flavourful. Overall 9.2/10! We’d definitely come back :)
