We celebrated New Year’s Eve 2026 at Shishlix restaurant this year. Farhad was extremely caring and professional. Staff were kind. Food from appetizers to dinner and desert with Persian tea was fresh and of amazing taste. Live music with singer Sepideh was uniquely inspired. Decorations and atmosphere was truly touching. Dancing music and requested music was well covered and count down was well managed. Thank you so much for creating a great experience and year start for us, wish you all the best
Five s stars! The food was amazing, especially the Barg Kabab. You haven't lived until you've tried their fresh bread—it's spectacular. Authentic flavors and a great vibe. Easily one of the best Persian spots in the GTA. We will definitely be back!
We went to Shishlix and ordered their Darbari which is supposedly meant for three people but we thought we can finish as two but omg we were wrong. We ended up swapping one of the rice portions for a Shirazi salad. They don’t usually allow substitutions like that, but they made an exception for us, which was a really nice touch and appreciated. Portion sizes were big enough that we couldn’t finish everything. The filet was excellent — tender, well-seasoned, and cooked properly. The chicken was also very good. As for the koobideh, I’m pretty picky since I’m used to Iranian-style koobideh, but honestly, this one held up well. If you haven’t had koobideh in Iran, this is a very solid alternative. I’d even say it’s one of the better options you can find in Toronto. We also got the yogurt drink, which was refreshing and paired nicely with the food. One underrated highlight: the bread. It’s fresh and really well done. If we hadn’t ordered such a massive platter, we probably would’ve just gone with some bread and a side like mast-o-musir and been perfectly happy. Overall, definitely recommend it. Great portions, quality meat, and thoughtful service. A solid spot if you’re craving Persian food in Toronto.
We ordered the lamb dish (around $50) with 6 pieces of lamb, served with salad and a very generous portion of rice topped with dried fruits. The warm, well-fermented bread with butter was outstanding. Everything tasted great, and the lamb was tender and well-seasoned. The portion was quite large, so we had leftovers. A half-size option at a more reasonable price would be nice, as the food tastes best when eaten fresh at the restaurant. Overall, a very enjoyable meal.
The food was good overall, with generous portions of fish and lamb shank. However, the Kabab Torsh had far more rice than meat, making the price feel unreasonable. Service was average, and the management was unprofessional. When we called to confirm our Sunday reservation, we were told reservations aren’t accepted on Sundays and that booking was a mistake. After a long discussion, they agreed to accommodate us but asked us to eat quickly and leave. Decent food, but disappointing experience, wouldn't choose this place again.

Congratulation!
