Great experience at Gilaneh Restaurant. The food quality was good and everything tasted fresh and well prepared. The staff were very kind and welcoming, and the customer service made us feel comfortable. The atmosphere was quiet, cozy, and enjoyable.
Unfortunately, our recent order was extremely disappointing. The barley soup we received tasted stale and spoiled, with a very unpleasant flavor. The color was unusually dark, almost black, which is completely unacceptable for a dish that is supposed to be fresh. This experience raises serious concerns about food quality and proper storage. Such a level of quality does not meet basic restaurant standards. I hope this feedback is taken seriously and that improvements are made to prevent this from happening again.

The restaurant has a nice setup that feels comfortable for both family meals and casual gatherings. The food quality was good overall, with well-prepared dishes and flavors that feel authentic and satisfying. Portions were reasonable and presentation was clean and appealing. The staff were polite and welcoming, and while service was generally good, there were moments where things felt slightly slow, especially during busier times. This is the main reason I’m giving four stars instead of five. Despite that, the overall experience was positive and enjoyable. It’s a solid choice for Persian cuisine in North Vancouver, and I would definitely return again and recommend it to others who appreciate good food and a relaxed dining environment.
Everything was great. The sour kebab was especially our favorite, but the appetizer we ordered wasn't good. The rice was crispy, but it was raw, not crispy. The staff was great. Thank you for everything, and the food too. Thanks 🥳
🎖I recently visited Gilaneh Restaurant for their Sunday brunch buffet and it was an amazing experience! The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. There was a great selection of traditional Persian dishes, delicious desserts, fresh fruits, and a variety of drinks including orange juice, tea, and coffee. The quality and variety of the buffet are excellent, especially considering the price—it really offers great value. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, making it a perfect spot to enjoy brunch with friends or family. Highly recommended! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
