My friends have always recommended this place, saying it’s the best Persian restaurant in Vancouver, and I totally get why. I loved everything we ordered, and the portions were very generous. We got a big sharing plate along with appetizers, soup, and individual dishes, and honestly, everything tasted authentic and delicious. On top of that, the staff were all super friendly, which made the experience even better.
I recently visited Shishlik on Lonsdale and was blown away. The Kebab Platter was succulent, perfectly seasoned, and generous enough to share. A standout for me, however, was the Gheymeh Nesar, it tasted incredibly authentic, just like a home-cooked meal in Qazvin. What really elevated the experience was the attention to detail. The garnish and presentation were beautiful, and I was equally impressed by the servers' attire. They looked very professional and sharp, which matched the high quality of the food and the welcoming atmosphere.
I know a good could Kubideh Kabab when I see it and this time with the offer of my friend we tried this restaurant. It is not a brand-new restaurant and the sitting inside it’s a bit tight I would not say this is a very fancy restaurant. This is a normal every day. Persian restaurant the menu is simple yet not that cheap. I order Vaziri dish which is ground beef and chicken stew kebab alongside with Shirazi salad and Dough. The waiter was so sweet that gave us a complementary dessert with tea overall the experience was very good and a bit pricey.
We stopped by for a lovely dinner at Shishlik. We ordered Gheyneh Nesar. It was flavorful with rose water and the flavor was exactly perfect and my Irani friend was over the moon My other Iranian friend had a Bonab Kebab - he loved it and was extremely pleased with the size of the kebabs. He will definitely come back again. We also ordered some yummy appetizers like Aash Reshteh & Crispy Rice with no Meat Stew - it was great. Khorshid was a lovely host, very friendly and approachable to us. We look forward to coming back soon.
What a lovely meal from start to finish. The dolma were some of the best I have ever tried. The chicken leg was perfectly prepared and fall-off-the-bone tender. I am eating leftover saffron rice with zereshk right now as I type this review, and it is practically as good the second day (although the atmosphere here is not nearly so cozy). Service was excellent, and they even offered to move us to a better table when one became available, although we had insisted from the beginning that our original table was perfectly good. Note that black tea with rock sugar is not available on weekends.

Congratulation!
