Need to improve customer service. It’s the third time I’ve been there and each time the cashiers are not very friendly. I move fairly quick as I’m still young and mindful of holding up lines. The cashier pushed my bag and said goodbye, like get moving. Just plain rude.

Great local grocer that has a great selection and includes many meats. I enjoy shopping there especially because it keeps me out of the Safeway around the corner. My only wish is that if they would make a bigger effort to highlight Canadian produce. In fact, I've stopped buying produce there because I can't usually tell if it was imported from the States.

Aria Persian Market is more than just a grocery store — it’s a bridge between everyday life in Iran and the multicultural streets of Vancouver. What makes Aria special is how familiar it feels. The products they carry aren’t just “Persian-style” — they’re the real deal. These are the same herbs, spices, and staples that people actually use every day back home in Iran — and surprisingly, they’re also popular with so many others around the world. They’ve got fresh herbs like parsley and cilantro, olives, saffron, lavashak, barberries, and rose water that actually taste like home. You can even find all the essentials for making a real Persian tea, not just kettles and teapots, but the classic flavors too: saffron, cardamom, and dried Persian rose petals (gol-e mohammadi), the same ones that have filled Iranian homes and bazaars for generations. And it’s not just about tea, Aria carries so many items that, back in Iran, you could find as easily as bread. Their bread section, yes, the sangak is legit. From fresh herbs to pantry staples, everything just feels right. The staff are friendly, the market is well organized, and it’s become a local favorite with loyal customers for a good reason. Only downside? Some of the ready-made stews (not the canned ones, but the ones prepared here in Vancouver) didn’t quite hit the mark for me, the taste was underwhelming compared to the standard set by the rest of the store.

If you're in downtown Vancouver and looking for a Persian supermarket with great prices and variety, Aria Market is a fantastic choice. The fruits and vegetables here are not only fresh but also priced lower than major competitors like Walmart or Safeway. You can find almost anything you need, from everyday essentials to a wide selection of Persian products that are hard to come by elsewhere. The staff are friendly and always ready to help. Highly recommended for anyone looking for quality and affordability in the heart of Vancouver!

This is a really interesting international store. Produce selection out front is pretty good but their inventory of imported goods is fascinating. I managed to find Hungarian sour cherries and Iranian fruit leather! Only thing I didn’t like is the store is setup with what is effectively a one way flow of traffic.
