Khorak Supermarket (Super Khorak) is a Persian/Iranian Grocery Store based in Richmond Hill. This listing has been verified via Google Places with a rating of 4.2 stars based on 5636 customer reviews. Highly recommended for the Persian-speaking community in Richmond Hill.
I purchased a 4-pack of burgers (714g total). While the taste was good and the flavor was enjoyable, one of the patties was noticeably much smaller than the others. When customers buy a 4-pack, they expect all patties to be similar in size and weight. Unfortunately, the size difference was quite obvious and it was a bit embarrassing when serving them to guests. I hope you can improve the consistency in portion sizes in the future
I have been coming here for more than 20 years to get some of my usual grocery/pantry items, fresh bread, pastries and something from the kitchen. When my mother is visiting - I know that one of the things on her list she'll want to do is coming by here to get her regular joojeh kabab order. Thank you for the beautiful memories, Super Khorak.
A chef; I look all over and try new ingredients/suppliers. Ive been in before, this time I thought Id try the hot table for lunch. Eggplant veal stew and rice. Eggplant bang on. The veal..small portion. The stew, technically but alas all I received was a container of oil that the meat was soaking in. The kicker, sold as with 'white rice'.. of course who wouldn't want to try one of their many flavored pilaf rices on display. I was told there was an up charge.. no problem. The problem was the up charge was nearly over $5 for the small portion and I didnt get my white rice? So $20+ later I had a few peices of oil soaked veal, 2 small eggplants and a small container of rice...date/raisin that tasted as if it was made a few days before. Very disappointing. I also felt my Legion Veterans hat didnt seem to go over well with a few of the employees based on the looks. I dont think Im making this up. Im a very personal person and no one loves new foods/cultures more then I. This is Canada. Lets not forget its culture. Be nice to others. Produce was ok not much selection 3*** Persian packaged products 5**** Lamb quality 5**** Hot table, I might try again but Im not sure. Prices, are definitely more then they should be overall.
I recently discovered Khorak while picking up meats for a cottage trip, and the experience was outstanding. Abhi and his team were incredible from start to finish. I ordered about 30 mixed koobideh along with a variety of dips and breads, and they made the entire process effortless. They even allowed me to rent metal skewers and neatly arranged everything on trays, which made prep at the cottage a breeze. The quality of the food was excellent, but what really stood out was the hospitality. Truly above and beyond. Highly recommend.
Great supermarket with a wide variety of fresh Persian products. The prepared food section is very diverse and worth trying. Just be mindful of the pricing by 100 grams, as it can be a little confusing. The outdoor area looked nice, but it was closed during our visit

Congratulation!
