I genuinely enjoy supporting local, especially Iranian, businesses. However, based on my experience, I would not recommend shopping here—particularly the food section.
AVOID THIS PLACE!!! We were at the mellat fine foods today and it was very disappointing visit. The meat and chicken were old and stinky. We bought the ready food, as soon as we put in microwave it started to smell very bad and we throw it out. Avoid this place if you don’t want to be poisoned!!!
Ready meals are disgusting!!! The meat in the khoresht is very tough and tastes old. The actual khoresht part is 90% cheap, re-used oil. It was so bad that we ended up giving the kids eggs to eat for dinner because I didn’t want them to get sick. We tried to eat it ourselves and the smell and taste were so bad that we ended up throwing it all away. I would stay far far away from ordering food from here!
Definitely room for improvement. I visited recently and the meat section smelled really bad, almost like rotten meat. I couldn’t stand it and had to leave. This place definitely needs better management and quality control….
Mellat Supermarket offers a great variety of products at competitive prices. The shopping experience was satisfying overall. However, the selection of fresh and frozen vegetables could be improved. Still, it’s a great place to shop, and I’ll definitely come back again.
